Isn’t it bizarre the way we label feelings? Isn’t a feeling just information? What if we interpreted them as such instead of ‘good’ or ‘bad’, friend or foe? Feeling sad, scared, elated, anxious, it’s all good. I really believe every feeling can be wonderful. We can be curious about our feelings and our emotions, we can approach them as anthropologists, we can observe them, and we can treat them as data and not forces. A feeling doesn’t have to be a FORCE. It doesn’t need to act on us or cause us to act. Can I stop long enough to watch a feeling pass through me, watch its journey, notice how it travels, and calmly, quietly, serenely metabolize it?
