I’ve got a new series for the readers of this site. I am personally a novice when it comes to most things in life, and the main reason I started this site was to learn more about the things that interest me, like cooking, design, photography, and the like. Each week I read countless articles on countless topics, but occasionally something will jump out as especially useful or well done. This space is carved out to share those particular articles.
Just this morning, during my usual cooking-related perusal, I came across Kitchen Stories’ ‘4 Things to Know About (insert ingredient)’ series. It’s visually minimal but attractive, and the information is presented in a digestible fashion along with a few suggested recipes. I love it. I’m in the process of reading through the entire series this morning and had to share the find.
I’ve really only recently become enamored with experimentation in the kitchen. There are so many everyday ingredients that I’ve never used. I picked up radishes for the first time a couple of weeks ago (yes, radishes), I bought kohlrabi for the first time yesterday, and I had never even heard of squash blossoms before last week. It’s a really fun time for me because everything feels new and there isn’t much pressure to perform. It’s a great medium in which to work when I’m accustomed to high pressure, high risk situations in my professional life.
